How To Change Windows 7 Theme to Improve Performance

Change Theme and Improve Your Windows® 7 Performance

Speed up your Windows 7 PC by changing its theme

Is the latest theme on your Windows 7 PC bothering you? Are you getting frequent pop-ups notifying you that the current Windows 7 theme is using most of its allowed memory? Are you looking for an answer? Well, look no further… We have some handy tips for you.

Themes give your computer a personal touch and are an embedded feature of Windows 7. Each theme is allocated a particular amount of memory in your computer. But at times themes may make your system run very slow. This is because the theme installed in your computer is heavy and is eating up most of the free space on your computer. The solution is simple. Change the current theme to Windows 7 basic theme or any other high contrast theme.

Just follow the step-by-step process to change the theme in your PC:-

    * Click the ‘Start’ button
    * Now click on the ‘Control Panel’ and a Search box will open
    * In the Search box, type Personalization. This will open the Personalization option.
    * Now click on Windows 7 Basic or any of the High Contrast themes from the Basic and High Contrast Themes option

But watch out! If you change the theme to Windows 7 basic theme, then you have to compromise on the Aero feature.

This means that you will no longer be able to get the full Aero experience.

Even though you loose on the Aero feature, still the gain is yours. Because you will regain your computer’s speed.

7 Reasons Why The Windows Phone 7 Is THE iPhone Killer

The sleeping giant is back. With yesterday’s announcement of the new Windows Phone 7 I believe we are seeing the rise of Phone 7 as the iPhone killer. Forget Android, this is the one you need to pay attention to.

Why? Scale, style and apps are the key reasons. Not to mention one of the longest computing heritages and a suite of services that range from business to entertainment, browsing and searching.

The Windows Phone 7 hooks this all together in a way that puts the market on its head. Instead of emulating what others have done, Microsoft has taken a radical approach to the phone. I give you 7 reasons why I believe this is the one

1. Tiles
From the get go, this just looks better. The tile function of the screen replaces the icon displays seen on the iPhone and the Android with living breathing tiles. Just picking up the phone you can see what is going on in your world without opening any app.

I know we can have push notifications on the iPhone and alerts on the Android but they both require some element of effort. The push notifications don’t always hang around on your iPhone and on the Nexus I have to slide the thing down and then read through the various bits.

This delivery of information is just one example of how Microsoft are looking to fully innovate with this phone, not just deliver a version of what the market is used to.

2. Hub Strategy

The Hub strategy is core for Windows Phone 7 and it makes a lot of sense. So, I will have a music hub in the shape of the Zune app. But this app is not restricted to content I have uploaded to, or bought in Zune, but all the music content on my ‘phone. On my iPhone I have many music apps, each with different content. I have to remember where my music is before I can play it. With the 7 I can access my music in the various apps, or I can have a centralised hub of music.

How To Fix Windows 7 Problems To Work System Smoothly

It was the time for calculating and making paychecks for the employees of the company. Everything was available on the server and all I had to do was to consolidate the data and prepare the final amount to be given out to each and every employee. It was the most busy time of the month and I was already running short of time as I had taken a few days off. But I was certain that I would be done with all the paychecks by the end of the day provided I stay in till late. Soon enough, it was time to head back home, but I was having work at my hands. So, I decided that it would take hardly two hours to finish all the work. I asked my colleague Samantha to give me a hand in finishing the work, to which she gladly agreed.

We were almost mid-way when I don’t know what went wrong with the system, it wasn’t working properly anymore. I was stuck half-way in completing my work. I could not leave it like this, I had to complete it. I was all tensed when Samantha gave me a number from her cell phone and asked me to call up. I asked her that how a simple call would resolve my problem. I was going hysteric with every passing minute. I had no clue as to how I was going to complete my pending work. Samantha, this time with a little more pestering, asked me to call up the number and get technical support and help for fixing issues with the Windows 7 system.

I thought why not give it a try as it won’t be causing me any harm. So, I picked up the phone and dialed in the number. The phone was answered at the second ring and I could hear a guy’s voice over the phone. He asked me to verify my name and e-mail ID and then he asked my about the problem that I was facing with my computer. I explained to him the problem and he told that he could resolve it. He asked me a couple of more questions and then gave me some instructions to follow. I registered in the name of my company and made a small payment from the office maintenance account, for availing their services, after which, the guy on the other end of the line asked me if he could access my computer remotely, to which I agreed instantly. He performed some steps on my computer and within a matter of minutes he told me that there was some problem with
Windows 7 operating system installed on my computer but it has been taken care of. I thanked him for his instant windows 7 tech support and help for taking care of the Windows 7 issues on my PC. I felt relived and was back to work.

How To Fix Window 7 Freezing Issues With Applications

Last week I came across a challenging case in my hospital.  A 20-year old patient was admitted in the emergency ward with complications in his kidney. I advised him for the ultrasound test and prescribed him some analgesic injections for instant relief. The report came to me in the evening and I entered the CD of the report in the DVD drive of my Windows 7-based PC. But the very next moment I found that my media player device was not getting access to it.

I tried many a time by closing and opening the media application, but all in vain. I was watching the screen almost like a stupid man. The face of the patient was revolving in my mind. Meanwhile I called up a technician to fix the windows 7 freezing  issues with the application on my Windows 7-based PC. He came and tried his best, but result was the same. Suddenly I remembered getting an SMS on my mobile regarding some tech support provider. There was a toll-free number in the message. I dialed the number and got connected with a technician. First of all he collected some details, and then started troubleshooting the PC on the remote mode. I was sitting with a cup of tea in my hand. In the mean time I went to the patient and assured him that there is nothing serious in the result and he would be alright very soon. I came back to my computer. The troubleshooting was over and the technician told me to restart the machine.

I restarted my computer and then the  windows 7 Startup was working good meaning that the system booted extremely fast within 10-20 seconds. I soon tried some applications, like Internet, MS Word and more they were responding well. I took a sigh of relief. I inserted the CD once more and played it with the media application. I analyzed the report and came to know that there is a 15 mm stone in the left kidney, which was causing the problem.

I acted swiftly and ordered my team to instantly move the patient to the operation theatre. The operating was successful; it took almost half an hour to remove the stone from the kidney. The patient was totally unconscious throughout the night. In the morning I got the good news that patient is well. I thanked the windows 7 technical support provider company. They have helped me to save the life of the patient.
